About Jennie Butler:
Jennie Butler is a documentary filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She's worked with companies like Radical Media, Topic Studios, Condé Nast, Amazon Studios, Hearst Television, and Discovery Channel. Her award-winning documentary short Georgie screened at festivals around the world, including DOC NYC, Rooftop Films, Palm Springs, Aspen Shortsfest, and was selected for Vimeo Staff Picks in 2025. Jennie was an Associate Producer on the feature documentary Tell Them You Love Me, which premiered at #1 on NETFLIX in 2024.
Switchboard Shorts Grant
The Switchboard Shorts Grant is a new initiative designed to champion short documentary filmmakers and support bold, original short-form nonfiction stories. The program will award $2,500 to one filmmaker and provide access to a community of creative and technical partners to support the filmmaking process. Applications are due February 1.
